Problems: Convert Salome Mesh to Elmer was created by ulf
Hello,
i'm using CAELinux 2008, with Salome 3.2.9 and ElmerFront 9.3.
I meshed my geometry in Salome. Created Body1, Body2,... of all the geometries (Solids and Shells) i need.
After this i tried several things, to import this into elmer.
Method a)
using unv2ElmerUNV.py and opening with ElmerFront => my computer (2 GB RAM) didn't manage to open the file and crashes. I can't create a mesh more coarse, because otherwise the Meshgenerater doesn't finish it's job.
Method b) (like in Tutorial pistonElmer)
first using unv2gmsh.py, after this converting with ElmerGrid to Elmer Meshfiles. When i open this in ElmerFront i don't receive a mesh (even if in the report he's telling:
>>>
Saving 53018 coordinates to mesh.nodes.
Saving 183111 element topologies to mesh.elements.
Saving boundary elements to mesh.boundary.
Saving header info to mesh.header.
<<<).
At "model mesh H" in the "define mesh" window i receive "-1" and as error message i receive:
Incorrect Model mesh. H: should be > 0!
What did i wrong? Anyone has experience with this transformation?
Thank's for help!

OK,
strange. When i don't create single groups of the Mesh in Salome, i see my mesh in Elmer and i don't get the error message concerning "Mesh model H".
But, i also don't get my groups, which i need.
Hm. some knows how to handle this?
Thanks!
