Code Saturn: cylinder coordinates was created by Siegfried Lösch
Hi all!
Does anybody know here if there is a possibilty to change coordinate system in Code Saturn from cartesian to cylindrical.
I want to model a rotating cylinder, and have therefore to apply angular velocity, ...
Regards
Siegfried

Hi,
Code_Saturne always solves Navier-Stokes equations (all equations actually) in the standard cartesian frame. If you want to simulate an axisymmetric problem, you can mesh an angular sector (one-cell extrusion) and apply symmetry boundary conditions on both sides, provided your problem can be considered as "really" axisymmetric (no 3D effects).
Regards,
David
