Hi,
I am wondering if there is any tutorial on conjugate heat transfer cases with both solid elements and fluid elements using Code_Saturn?
Thanks!
Pei

Hello Pei,
In your simulation, do you need transverse thermal effects in the solid?
Depending on the answer, two options are available:

Depending on the answer, two options are available:
- There is a 1d thermal module available in Code_Saturne. It models a thermal wall with a 1d-mesh extruded along the chosen boundary face normal, and solves a 1d equation for the temperature. The corresponding subroutine is ustp1d.F
- The second option would be to couple Code_Saturne with the thermal code SYRTHES. See the dedicated page for more information.

Hi,
just to mention: Saturne, Syrthes and the Syrthes module for Saturne are all included in CAELinux 2009... unfortunatelly, I did not manage to setup a proper coupled case for testing.
As I remember, an important limitation (which seems to have been solved in the latest version) was that while Saturne can work properly with MED meshes from Salome, Syrthes unfortunatelly could only read UNV meshes (from Salome) and used "colors" for group definition... I had to write a small utility to convert groups to colors and then Syrthes could read the mesh properly.
But I did not went much further in testing the Saturne-syrthes coupling ... so any feedback / example is welcome!
