Model of a Regenerator was created by Alex
Hi Forum
Can Code Saturne model the flow within a porous medium with convective transient heat transfer between gas and porous phase ( packed bed ) and conductive heat transfer within the packed bed...?
Modelling a "macosocopic" regenerator system would be easy, simply defining regions of solid material and fluid material and defining the physics within each one : Fourrier heat conduction for solid with convective BCs and Navier Stokes for fluid... but defining clear solid/fluid boundaries and regions in a packed bed is out of the question...
Is there any appropriate formulation within Code Saturne to handle this...?
I want to model a thermal regenerator...
Thanks in advance
Alex

C'mon ppl
Doesn't anyone here care for thermal energy recovery from exhaust flues in power plants...?
Cheers
