Crash while accessing mesh was created by Peter Ashworth
I am new to Caelinux but not totally new to Linux generally.
I have down loaded Caelinux and installed on to a HDD running on a 64 bit Intel machine. No problems with the installation.
I have started Salome_Meca and imported an IGES file which came with CAELinux.
After following some steps similar to the piston tutorial, I accessed the mesh routine. There was a small delay the Caelinux crashed out of that user and restarted at the select user screen.
I have tried several time with the same results.

After loading Caelinux, I updated the PCLinux through configuration package. Could this have done something to to cause the crash and should I revert back to the install without the updates.
Your help or some ones assistance would be much appreciated.

see if it's a graphics card problem first.

Otherwise return here :)

Thanks Claus for your reply
The computer is new and 64 bit with a Nvida
8660 card ??.
Do I have to load special drivers for the card as I would like to do that first.

yes you should load the nvidia drivers for this card. Otherwise glx is not available and salome crashes
