Cae menu disappered was created by simone
I have a little problem with the cae menu.
After some installations of other programs the cae menu disappeared from the application bar! I tried to re-activate it under system\preferences\menu, but all the interested voices are disappeared.
Is there a simple way to solve this problem without re-installing caelinux?
Thanks in advanced.

Try to setup a new user and login to see if the menu looks right for the new account. If it is so, you will know if it is a system issue or a user profile issue.
If is is a system menu issue it should be possible for you to boot from the distibution DVD and mount the partition where CAELinux is installed and copy the missing menu entries to the right spot directly - or intermediately copy the menus to a USB stick and add them to the system menu later. System menu is in /usr/share/applnk.
If it is a user profile issue one way to go is to create a new account for your work. and transfer the important files to the new account. Dont transfer the .kde folder. If the user name is not the identical some of the file references in the Code Aster calculations will need an edit.
