the CAELinux2011 will not finish the installation because of the "ubiquity" problem. Reporting the problem returns the following message:
The problem cannot be reported: this is not a genuine Ubuntu package.

Does anybody knows what the problem is about and how to fix it?

I am trying installing on multiboot x64 machine on extended partition.

Thanks for help,
liryka

Hello

it is hard to tell with so few details, but try to make sure that the partition is at least 20Gb...(30 to 40Gb would be better).
CAELinux requires a lot of space as it is an full 4.0GB DVD with highly compressed data.
Also when installing, always use the "manual" method...

Could you tell me more about the details of your install (which partitions were used, which type of file syste, size of partitions, bootloader installation option)?

Joel,
Thank you very much for your efforts to solve my subject problem.
Here are more details about my system:
Computer: Gateway GX7022E, 32/64 bit, 2 GB RAM
disk: c (or 3 on DOS)
partition: Extended, of which 255 GB dedicated to CAELinux2011 (the one that it cannot be installed on); swap partition of 2 GB is the very next one on the Extended partition as well.

If you think I missed some important info, please ask me. However, remember that I am new to Linux and have very little knowledge of it.

Best regards,
Liryka
