He is probably refering to hardware support.

I checked jcugnoni's profile and he isn't active for a long while.
Also, the caelinux's development repositories on sourceforge are not working, at least for me.

This is a bad news...
I've solved my problem with wifi... but without a support i suppose that caelinux comes to an end in few time... Generally newer version comes every two year, the next year after his name... so if last was 2013 and was released in 2014, i hope 2015 will be released in 2016

The problem of modern hardware support by CAELinux then is not very serious, possibly Why I like many Linux users use PC dated. However it may overcome by installing a Linux distribution recently and installing on only the software that interest us. Basically CAELinux2013 is a Linux distribution derived from Xubuntu with installed over a number of scientific-engineering programs free software, which as such are easily available from the web, and can be freely used on any Linux distribution. Another way is to use CAELinux on virtual machine on windows, in this case there is no problem of hardware compatibility.
