Hi,
I am testing Ubuntu at the moment, in order to compare with PCLinuxOS. Both are very nice, but I try now to have a better view of the hardware compatibility of both distro as well as the remastering options that they offer (for example to preload both ATI & NVIDIA 3D drivers in the LiveDVD).
But anyway, for the next release, I will keep the PClinuxOS base distro (with KDE). Note that in PCLOS, you can easily install Gnome Desktop too (from Synaptics)!!
I don't know if introducing both desktops on the LiveDVD will be worth the extra space and work... as you can always customize your distro like you want when it is installed. Note that once installed, you can also simply remaster the LiveDVD to have your own personnal version too!! For this, just type "remasterme" in a console (as root).
Regards,
Joël
