installation with intel 965 chipset was created by christian
i had problems booting the live-cd. this was related to the optical drive in my laptop.
if you have the same, try either the magic key "all-generic-ide irqpoll" or use another drive. this allowed me to boot from the live cd.
unfortunately, i was not able to install the distri to my hdd, because no drives are attached/recognized.
my workaround:
- download caelinux
- install it to an external hdd (e.g. usb)
- make a kernel update to 2.6.22.17 ( i took a kernel from kernel.org)
- reboot updated system and check if internal hdd is available
- boot with knoppix or any other live cd with the chipset drivers included, e.g. opensuse 10.2
- make a dd from the external hdd to the internal hdd
- modify the /boot/grub/menu.lst to the new partitions and disks
- grub-install
done
