Howdy,
Linux noob here, trying to install to a SATA hard drive. The install process is hanging during copying of files. I'm still seeing activity on the CPU at about 42% complete, but it's not hitting the DVD at all, and I've been stuck at 42% for about 15 min or so. I suppose it could be a problem with the disc, but it boots fine and I've had no problems running anything.
I'm also wondering if there is a significant performance increase in using the HD install rather than the live dvd. I'm going to try my other drive, and then burn another dvd in the hopes of getting a good install. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know.

...Going strong at 50% in the other DVD drive. In any case, I'd like to thank the developers. This seems to be a pretty great way to get started both with Linux and the bundled software.
