Installation error was created by Fabio
Dear all,
I've a big problem, and I'm not able to fix it ...
I'll try to explain it shortly.
I've buy a new desktop wit
CPU i7
Motherboard Asus P6T SE
Ram: 12Gb
Hdd: 1T
I've done 2 partitions: first with 700Gb for Win7 and second 300Gb for CaeLinux (BOTH PARTITIONS ARE NTFS, could it affect the following problem?).
I've installed Win7.
I've modificed the start sequence from the BIOS.
I've put the LiveDVD in dvd reader and ... It give o me the first prompt, where it ask how I want to start it and then, during the load, give an error ...
Can anyone suggest to me how to install CaeLinux or how to fix the problem?
THKS A LOT IN ADVANCE,
Fabio

First off; you can't use NTFS as a filesystem for Linux - it will be formatted to ext4 or similar during installation.
2nd: you might have a bad CD burn. This thread suggests just that:
www.knoppix.net/forum/threads/22923-CD-W...deb7ff8ced84503e6dc5
It might also be a problem with USB:
ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=1716846&postcount=4
that, or hardware components not playing nicely together - try unplugging as much as you can and see if it will boot the CD
Search for "disk error 10 AX4280 drive EF" and you'll get at least 530 hits on google
Good luck.
