Is it possible to implement the software included in CAELinux as a package ready made for implementing into another distro of Linux? That would be neat, then you have full accesability of the software and a distro that fits your taste...

Many of the programs are already available for many of the major distributions within their package system, and the scripts Jöel has written are available on the wiki here.
I guess (not a programmer) that each program would have to be statically linked and packaged, for them to work on any distribution.
That would result in some huge packages.
Someone with experience, please correct me if Im wrong.
