keyerror was created by rui simoes
Hi All,
new user here,
i get the following error, every time i run any simple study:
"Unexpected Error
TYPE = exceptions.KeyError
VALUE=6"
i've checked for spaces in path.. none.
i've tried run the study outside salomemeca, with astk... no way.
is there a procedure to check if SalomeMeca instalation is ok?
i'm going nuts over this.
greetings
rui

Check paths to folders etc. for starters. Post again if this thread didn't help.

python postinstall.py checks if everything is ok with the SALOME-MECA installation - it gives an [OK] or [NO]
You can run SALOME-MECA-2010.1-x86_64/aster/bin/astk --check
and see if it raises any errors.
When running a study in ASTK have you checked Help->Message window?
Clean the ~/flasheur folder, run the study and check the files generated in ~/flasheur for errors.
Make sure either 'rsh' or 'ssh' (depending on what you've set in ASTK) can connect to you desktop without password.

i did that after installation (c.a. 2 weeks ago), and i had SalomeMeca working fine by then.

thanks again!

ooh I dunno - it might be a package upgrade on your system or something that messed with one of the dependencies of SaloméMECA - very hard to tell, best thing is to completely forget about it and carry on with you life
