Interest: structural mechanics, solar energy (picture at 'my location' shows too little pv panels)

Hoi Ashraf
pls try to mesh the ''partition'' part in the uploaded hdf file. (I meshed it very coarsely with NETGEN, so mesh is not very nice). Using a ''partition'' should make sure that the selected geometry part below the main geometry are one part only. A compound normally yields several separate parts.
you can have a look here as well, just for reference:
www.caelinux.org/wiki/index.php/Contrib:KeesWouters/partition .
If you need more information, pls feel free to post.
kind regards - kees

Thanks Kees
I edited the geometry as adviced by you. I then did the static analysis on the cylinder but encountered a new error. Its as follows
! !
! Erreur Utilisateur : !
! La maille de peau : M41 ne peut pas être réorientée. !
! Car elle est inserrée entre 2 mailles "support" placées de part et d'autre : M812 et M1903. !
I dont understand what does this mean. Could you tell me as why am i getting this error.
Also i want to know how do we apply Moment(Mx) and normal force(Nx) as the boundary condition. i am finding the axial modes so i need to keep V = W = 0; Mx = Nx = 0.
Could you please suggest me a method to maintain this condition.
Thanking you for all your patience
Ashraf
P.S: I have attached the files i have used.
