2007.1 Stand Alone and Code Aster problem was created by Alessandro
I downloaded and installed Salome-Meca 2007.1 stand alone on a Slackware 12 Linux Distribution. Installation was good, as download (md5 is correct).
I'm trying to complete the piston tutorial, but i have this problem:
When I go to solve the Code Aster case, the program complete it in a few seconds without showing me the calculation window as in the tutorial, and nothing else is shown in the left-panel tree as it is shown in the tutorial (tutorial shows that a post-pro section appears in the tree after calculation). Diagnostic response is: (-)
A med file is created, but if i go in the post-pro module and import it, it is mainly incomplete compared to the one shown in the tutorial...
I can't find any *.mess error message.
What is happening?
Thank you, alessandro.

Hi,
this is a known problem; before you run an analysis for the first time, you should right-click on the Code-Aster case and choose Edit. Then, in the advanced option tab, click "Refresh" to update the ASTK server configuration (this is only needed the first time).
Now you should be able to run your computation.

I have the same problem but editing the Code Aster case and clicking Refresh did not help. I still get a yellow check mark on the case and no results.

First, I'm sorry for posting twice previously. Also it seems that just posting on this forum some how inspires me to finally figure out my problems.
I was able to get Code Aster to work by switching off the Interactive Follow-up under the Edit Code Aster case dialog. I would like to know why that made things work?<br /><br />Post edited by: Robert Tuttle, at: 2007/12/03 22:01
