Livecd hangs...

I have installed FC4 on my Laptop. When i boot the CAELinux livecd it probes for certain thinks like usb etc.. and said loaded, or ok. The computer seems to be stoped after these lines:

-Exiting LINUXRC----
-MKLIVECD RC.SYSINIT----
Setting up UNIONFS

And here after nothing appears on the screen even after 20-30 minutes. The same status is there even when i give boot option as livecd noapic nolapic acpi=off

Can somebody tell me whats wrong?

Hi,

there are at least two possible causes:
1) the most probable cause is that the ISO image or DVD burning introduced an error in the liveDVD, so it cannot mount the compressed file system (unionfs).
2) maybe your DVD drive is not supported well or has some problem reading the media (less probable).

Could you test your liveDVD on another computer ? or check the md5sum after downloading the ISO image.
