mesh refinement was created by chable
Hello,
We are created a geometry thanks to Salome and we want to mesh it in 2D and 3D. We don't see a mean to refine the mesh locally !
Is there a mean to associate a characteristic lenght to each edge or each vertex in order to refine the mesh locally ?
Thanks for advance.

"Is there a mean to associate a characteristic lenght to each edge or each vertex in order to refine the mesh locally ?" Yes. Look to the concept of SUBMESH. It is a mesh on just a part of Your geometry, for example just for one curve or one face, for which You have to specify own mesh seeding in the submesh's hypothesis. The mesher of Salome meshs first all submeshes with their individual refinements and then the (global) mesh which respects the submeshes

When I try using submeshes with finer elements than the "global" mesh then I get an error message that the face is already covered by the global hypothesis settings and so the submesh will be ignored. ? .
