Building and Structure application

Hi All:
I'm browsing and testing some packages for structural engineering (mainly Building, bridges, large roofs and so) even I'm going to download and install CAE linux to give it a full test , i would like to know if it is adecuate for my needs, if somebody has used the software for this purposes could be a very nice help for my search.
any suggestion is good....
