				Hi All,
not sure where to ask this question.
furniture design problem.
if one has to check for balance (not having a fix constrain, only a base and a mass center/weight).
and if we apply a horizontal force will it still be standing?
can we use aster? how?

				You could try Impact. I believe there is a wiki post on wind loading of a water tower and stability (or something like that) which should be similar enough. Impact development seemed to stall for a while but recently there have been developments. I am currently using LS DYNA and I would really like to see a good open source alternative. Impact might just be this alternative.
