can run Code-Aster only as root was created by joha
Hi Joel,
firstly, thank You very much for Your patient help!!
Now I have another question. When trying to run C-A by pressing the button \"run\" inside ASTK, it does not start. In a window the following message appears:
\"Remote connexion problem, check .rhost files. See details in Aide/Messages Window and Aide/Common problems\"
I looked into the 2 indicated windows but do not understand well. unfortunality, it is not possible to copy and paste the content of these 2 windows.
When logged in as root this problem does not appear
1) How can I run C-A as normal User?
2) can You tell me where I can find the file(s) containing the messages, in order to be able to copy and paste them, if there will be such problems again?
Thank You,
Regards, Jo

Hello,
To have a better insight of ASTK errors, you can open the \"Message\" window from the Help menu.
Concerning your problem, it is a typical problem when you change your network configuration and change the hostname to something else than \"localhost\" (or if you check \"asign host name from DHCP\").
The first thing to do is to reconfigure your network in PcLinuxOs Control Center in order to set your hostname equal to \"localhost\". Go in Networking panel, click Creat New Network Connection, select your network card and then be sure to uncheck \"assign host name from DHCP\", enter hostname = localhost. In the next screen, enter again \"localhost\" & continue the wizard until the end. Finally restart your PC.
If it fails, you shuld try the following:
1) in the \"servers\" config panel of ASTK: click refresh and verify that \"this server is the local machine\" is activated.
2) in \"interface\" config panel of ASTK: verify that domain name is NOT set (you should have a warning when starting ASTK).
This is a tricky problem, but I don't know how to fix it for all cases of use of the liveDVD...
Good luck
