Integrate nodal forces was created by Christian
Hi all!
This time I have a post processing issue. I want to integrate the nodal (reaction) forces of a face. Does anyone of you know, if there is a command in Code_Aster to do that? So far I found this command:
Reac_Sum=POST_RELEVE_T(ACTION=_F(OPERATION='EXTRACTION',
INTITULE='ReacForc',
RESULTAT=result,
NOM_CHAM='REAC_NODA',
GROUP_NO='sum',
RESULTANTE=('DX','DY','DZ',),),);
But I am not entirely sure if it does what I want.
My varification case would be a simple structure (e.g. a beam) fixed at one end and gravity as load. For that case, the integrated nodal (reaction) force should be volume*density*gravity.
Thanks for your help!
Cheers,
Hefti

Hello Hefti,
you are correct. With your method you would compute the sum of the nodal reaction forces.
Best regards,
Richard
