CAELinux 2009 Live CD boot problems

I'm having some trouble getting the live cd to boot properly. I've run md5sum and the checksum looks fine.

On booting from the Live CD I get a list of choices from a text menu but whatever option I choose, I get an Ubuntu splash screen and progress bar follow by the ASH shell screen.

I saw a previous post saying that I should change the HD controller to AHCI mode and this has made no difference.

The system I'm running on is an intel i7 and this normally runs Ubuntu just fine.

You could try the Ubuntu forums. There have been similar issues in this forum but more so in the Linux Operating System section.
