ASTK has problem with directories was created by johannes ackva
hello,
when doing within ASTK "file - open" or "file - save as" and then clicking to a certain directory (in this case: /home/caelinux/) I get the following message from ASTK:
Informations
<INFO> warning : Shift detected in the treatment of this directory. Usually that means that a file name contains a space, the file or directory '501' may be badly represented in the list.

In fact, certain directories I don't find to click onto them or to open an .ASTK file contained in them. But I have no spaces in any file names. I can't find any rule to determine the "hidden directories". What can I do?

Thank You very much for Your help, Johannes

These are the file names within my /home/caelinux/: For example 08_acopo_Q1 is not found

Hello Jo,
I have the same warming message:
In a Informations window I get the following warning:
<INFO> Warning : Shift detected in the treatment of this directory. Ussually this means a file name contains a space or directory 'SolidWorks2008' may be badly represented in the list.

This messages is allows displayed in the directory:
/home/kees/data/cae/ which among other contains the subdirectories
salome414 and Raster where Salome and Code-Aster are located.

But as far as I can know I donot have a directory 'SolidWorks2008'.
Very strange that the program comes up with this name.

Jo, I am not sure what you mean by: I can't find any rule to determine the "hidden directories"? Do you want view hidden files/directories? Pls let me know.

Furthermore, any help is welcome.

Kind regards - kees<br /><br />Post edited by: Kees Wouters, at: 2009/02/03 11:40

Hoi Jo

I apparently overlooked the obvious: indeed in the directory /home/kees/data/cae a filename contained a space in its name. I just didnot see it. So a filename 'data solidworks2008 name.pdf' with two spaces did exist. After changing the filename by removing the space cleared the problem.
Sorry for the oversight.

Kind regards - kees
