A Big problem with the salome viewer was created by Eelis Takala
Hello!

I am now using the Caelinux 2008. It crashes when I try to draw
something with the Salome. For example if I draw a vertex, first
the viewer crashes, then my mouse stops and then I get a black srceen.

Another, but minor problem is that Salome doesn't find my localhost
so I have to write it every time in /etc/hosts -file, because it
strangely changes when I boot the machine. By localhost I mean the
name that comes after "user@", for example "caelinux@computer".

I didn't have the bigger problem when I used Caelinux 2007.
Can anyone help me with these?

Does the new caelinux use compiz as a default? I built
the Salome Meca on Ubuntu and I got also problems with
compizfusion, but it didn't crash. When I changed back
to nautilus (Or what is the default window decorator on
ubuntu), the problems dissapeared. Now it works perfectly
on ubuntu.

I believe the problem might be in the window decorator.
Or it might also be somekind of a combined problem
between windowdecorator, salome and perhaps the video
card driver...

By the way I use IBM thinkpad T61...
