Messy shaded view in Salome GEOM

Hello,

Does anybody know why on some PCs I get a poorly shaded view, where some faces are not shaded, some are and others are shaded but beyond the regions they are supposed to be in?

An image is attached to show what I mean. This seems to happen on Salome 3.2.6. or 3.2.9. Any advice will be very welcome. Thank you.

I would guess it is the video driver/card you are using.

Thank you for your reply. I am guessing the same too. I tried with the following:

1. 02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 AS [Radeon 9550]
02:00.1 Display controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 AS [Radeon 9550] (Secondary)
(a dual display card but using only one monitor currently, which works OK)

2. VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV515 [Radeon X1300]
03:00.1 Display controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV515 [Radeon X1300] (Secondary)
(a dual display card but using dual monitors, has above problem)

3. 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation G80 [GeForce 8800 GTS] (rev a2)
(a dual display card but using only one monitor currently, has above problem)

The first card is not very fast, thus I would like to get a graphics card of the performance level of the GeForce 8800 GTS and hope somebody can make a good recommendation for a graphics card that works with Salome (& OpenGL?). Thank you.

I saw something else. I have a intel 945GM (laptop) and when using 16bit color model I have beter graphics than with a 24bit color model. I have to tel you I saw this on KDE4.1. Haven't tried it with KDE3.5 or gnome.
