Surface generation with imported files

After solving my first issue with Salome Maca (see caelinux.com/CMS/index.php?option=com_jo...;id=2429&catid=4) I found another issue I couldn't solve.

I imported a nozzle into Salome Meca and was able to import it to open foam. But now I foun that I cannot defin a surface as input/ output of the airstream to calculate.

Now I went back to geometric module of Salome Meca, tried to put the surface in, but failed.
Importing a 3D washer from Solid edge did not work, because I couldn't group them correctly.

Can someone help me?

For better understanding I attached the nozzle.

Post edited by: Frank, at: 2009/01/03 23:00

I don't know how openfoam works, however try the attached file.

To generate in-out surfaces, when in geometry module, you need to explode edges:

new entity-->explode-->edge (select sub-shapes)-->shift-click on edges

and then use them to build surfaces:

new entity --> build --> face --> select one of the previuosly extracted edges.
