.msh to Salome was created by Nicky
Hi, I have a mesh generated with Gambit (.msh) and I need to export it to a format which can be read by Salome. Is that possible?

Thanks!

There are several ways: Open the msh file in GMSH, save it as MED - Launch ASTK and select the tool 'Convert mesh' - and probably other ways too.

I tried to open it with Gmsh but it gives me a syntax error in the first line.

I also have errors with ASTK :(<br /><br />Post edited by: Nicholai Chapman, at: 2009/05/22 13:38

Doesn't Gambit give you the option to export to a more compliant format e.g. UNV?

Post you ASTK error here btw.

I exported the mesh yo unv using fluent. I was able to open it with salome but I can't see the mesh. On the left I can see all the components of the mesh but it has an exclamation mark next to the name, as if something was wrong :S

I'll post later the error cause now i'm in another computer which doesn't have the program installed.

Right-click on the name of the mesh and select 'show mesh' :)
