.msh to Salome was created by Nicky
Hi, I have a mesh generated with Gambit (.msh) and I need to export it to a format which can be read by Salome. Is that possible?
Thanks!
Thanks!

There are several ways: Open the msh file in GMSH, save it as MED - Launch ASTK and select the tool 'Convert mesh' - and probably other ways too.

I tried to open it with Gmsh but it gives me a syntax error in the first line.
I also have errors with ASTK

Post edited by: Nicholai Chapman, at: 2009/05/22 13:38

Doesn't Gambit give you the option to export to a more compliant format e.g. UNV?
Post you ASTK error here btw.

I exported the mesh yo unv using fluent. I was able to open it with salome but I can't see the mesh. On the left I can see all the components of the mesh but it has an exclamation mark next to the name, as if something was wrong
I'll post later the error cause now i'm in another computer which doesn't have the program installed.

Right-click on the name of the mesh and select 'show mesh'
