Hi Forum

This is my "dummy modeling" of an aircraft build in Salome.

No meaning is attached to wing section/twist/taper, as well as no particular care has been taken about friction/lift induced drag.

This is just supposed to be a tryout just to check wether Salome can build an *.stl file that will be externally meshed with snappyHexMesh from OpenFOAM, and evaluated for aerodynamic behaviour, once i finish my preliminary sizing.

So far I have found some difficulties in building the aft and forebodies of the airplane, they are lofted;

So I built section by section, several splines, mirrored them, and will now try to define faces from them, so as to build generic hexahedral solids that will be fused in the central section of the aircraft...

I still do not understand why I cannot define my faces from the splines...

Can someone give me a hint on what am i doing wrong...?

I send the hdf fileas attachment...

Best regards

Alex
