But what to do if You get a 3D model and You don't have SW license? Modelling sheet metal constructions in SolidWorks is quite easy, doing the same in Salome's geom is a challenge. Any ideas?
Kind regards,

I'm currently trying to generate Mid surfaces in Salome too.

I had the following idea, assuming that the geometric parts involved
are a thin plate:
- explode top and bottom surfaces
- reorient bottom (repair section) and create normal vector (measurement section)
- Create Vertex at bottom and measure distance this point and the top surface
- move bottom surface along the normal with the halfed distance
