hello, i am trying to set up an analysis using the linear elasticity wizard as a starting point.
i am unable to access 2 of the groups i created to apply BC's on.
they are edges, i created them by partitioning my solid object with a plane choosing "edge" as the result of the partition. i then create a group within the partition object since i cannot select the edge with the solid object as my main shape, the lines are not on that object.
when i use the wizard i select my solid object, but since my edge groups belong to the partition i created i am not seeing them in the pulldown menu, rather i only see those groups that i created based on the solid object. since my edge parition is not a solid object i cannot use it as the input on the wizard.
any advice on how to apply boundaries on these edges would be very helpful. thanks in advance.

Not entirely sure if I got this right; once you've partitioned a solid and you have a new resulting solid with the 'extra' edges, you need to create groups for the edges to be able to select them in either the mesh module or the aster_wizard.
My work flow is usually: create solid, partition if needed, create groups on the geometry (node, edge or face) -> mesh the solid, create (import) groups from the geometry -> create the study in Aster_wizard with 3D- 'working on mesh'

The result from partitioning a solid should be a new solid, otherwise you're doing something wrong. Almost every operation you perform on something in Salomé results in a new object.
