import geometry step or iges was created by maurizio
Goo morning, is the first time who used caelinux. I have install a caelinux with virtual machine and now I have a question:
I don't to import a file step or iges in SALOME 3.2.9.
I go to file- import and salome doesn't see the file step or iges.
I save this file in a particulary directory?
thank you

Two things. The first is make sure the appropriate file is selected under file type. Second Salome may be case sensitive. Make sure you have the files saved as lowercase. If they're not simply change the extension to lower case. Not sure if the last is true or not but it won't hurt

I had that mistake too. You have to open Salome AND click on the geometry module (a button like two crossing pipes), and only then you'll be able to import them by doing File->Import geometry.
