export mesh from openfoam was created by jia
I have generated mesh via snappyHexMesh from a .stl geometry file. How can I export the mesh to salome?

Thanks,

I hope I can reply to this. :-)

1. Once you have the file which is supposed to be exported to salome save it so some location in your home folder.

2. Now you need to open Salome Meca. Then Select: File then open new

3. Now try to find "Mesh" button from the upper row. Press that button.

4. Now Salome is in mesh condtion. You can now import the file to Salome.

5. Go to File menu, then scroll down and notice the "Import" function. Go there and there you find the requested form

6. Now import the file by selecting it with the browser which pop ups. It will be imported.

7. Now you need to update the OpenGL view in order to see the file. Go to "view" and then scroll down and select "Update"

8. You should see your mesh.

9. However Salome Meca can as far as I have understood import only .DAT, UNV, MED and STL files.

I hope this helps!
