Unable to mesh compound shape was created by eudoxos
I am using Salome to for meshing a (hollow) pipe with a few holes in it. The geometry has been created in Salomé from scratch (points, wires, faces, extrusions, boolean), I put it here exported as STEP:
pipe.stp
.
When I activate meshing (Mesh/create/, select the geometry, Assign set of hypothese: 3d automatic hexahedralization, nb segments 15, then compute mesh) , salomé creates hexahedral mesh but with messages like "Quadrangle_2D: Unexpected geometry. Face must have 4 sides but not 1" and the mesh is unusable at several places:
The geometry looks like this there:
What am I doing wrong? Do I need to remove the internal edges? Is there some repair tool which will just use the volume and fix orientations, internal edges and such?

Interest: structural mechanics, solar energy (picture at 'my location' shows too little pv panels)

probably the t-piece is causing the problem because the horizontal part has two top faces at the t and only one face at the left side.
I will download the step file and check in the 'near' future.
edit:
there are some geometrical mistakes in the step file. Salome indicates some faults at one end of the tube. I did not check anyfurther to see what is really wrong.
