Dear kees,
thanx for your reply, it was insightful.
but i m encountering some problem.
in the lower section of mentioned id (download files).
-Export the med file in the mesh module under cylinder.med
kw_cylinder.zip does not contain cylinder.med file.
and how to load cyl_modal.comm & cyl_loaded.comm for further analysis.
and when exporting to ASTK and run efficas needed.
hoping a quick reply from urside.
thanks in advance,

Hoi abhishek
You have to run the python file geom_mesh.py first *). That will generate the model and mesh (*.med) file. Then you can export the *.med file.
The *.comm files are easiest loaded by ASTK. So start ASTK and load the corresponding *.astk file (you might have to crrect the directories). Hit the run-button in ASTK. That should do the job.
Eficas is not needed, that checks the syntax of the command file. That is okee (although never versions of C-Aster may differ once and a while).
If this is not clear enough, pls let me/us know. Glad to give more detailed information.
*) in Salome select geometry module --> then 'load script' (or cntrl T) --> select geom_mesh.py.
This will generate cylinder.med --> select mesh module --> select cylinder in the mesh browser --> export mesh --> (med) --> save.

Dear kees,
thanx for quick reply.
as per ur suggestion i would be able to save cylinder.med file.
but encountering some problem, and need ur help.
---The *.comm files are easiest loaded by ASTK. So start ASTK and load the corresponding *.astk file (you might have to crrect the directories). Hit the run-button in ASTK. That should do the job.
means ASTK support .astk file (then how .comm could be loaded.)
in ASTK run> cyl_fz.astk > u cant have a study without any aster command file?
when modal analysis could be performed by tool> wizards> modal analysis, what is the need to invoke ASTK for analysis.
hoping a quick reply from urside.
Thanks in advance.
