Hoi abhishek,

alright, so you saved the *.med file.

Have a look on how ASTK operates here:
www.caelinux.org/wiki/index.php/Contrib:...rs/shell/static/astk

means ASTK support .astk file (then how .comm could be loaded.)
in ASTK run> cyl_fz.astk > u cant have a study without any aster command file?

In ASTK first go to the correct directory, select ''base path'' icon and select directory.
Then ''file'' select cyl_fz.astk and you see that the command file, mess file, result file and some more are all defined.
(you might correct the path to all these files, in C-Aster 11 it seams all are selected correctly immediately (great).
Then hit run.

SalomeMeca
Alright, so you run SalomeMeca?
Then you donot need ASTK.
Read the python geom_mesh file.
Select Modal analysis.
[Apply material and boundary conditions or]
select *.comm file.
Run.

This I do by heart, not quite sure. I cannot check now because my SalomeMeca is dead since I upgraded to Ubuntu Natty.

I hope this is not too fuzzy.
Call back if you need more help.
