Error in Solving 3d Contact was created by Youssef
Hi ,
I'm new in the forum and I would like to learn more about Code_Aster and Salome. I did some online tutorials to get used to the software before. But I have some problems with the resolution of contact in Salome meca . I use the latest version of LiveDVD .
My modeling include 6 contacts and a pressure applied on one side. I wanted to extract the contact pressures for improving mechanism. It is an elastic problem modeled in 3d and resolved with the command STAT_NON_LINE
Before anything else, I read the documentation on the contact record [ U2.04.04 ]. I used the CONTINUE method because I want to extract the contact pressure with LAGS_C. After many test , my problem didn't converge, so I followed the notice advice and have used a PREDICTION: ELASTIC and now it convergence but I still have a problem.
I hope someone can help me and tell me where I made mistakes.

I don't have time to get too much into right now, but try searching for 'flip flop' + code_aster
www.google.com/search?q=code_aster+flip+flop
You simulation does just that when trying to reach convergence.

Thank you for your answer,
I saw some examples with "flip-flop" problem on the net but I think my problem is different. It's not mentionned in the .mess file that the simulation doesn't converge as we can see. Some nodes cause problem so I tried to exclude them to the contact but the probelm remains.
Hope I can find solution
