Hi again. Do you know how to get Bending stress (Pb) and membrane stress (Pm) at each node? I was reading that I had to use the comand POST_RCCM but I have tryed to and EFICAS got an error.

Regards.

Sorry, this is a late reply, but is hopefully still of some value. Below are my instructions to myself:

1 In Paraview, do a Plot over Line
2 Select spreadsheet view with PoL highlighted
3 Select columns POINTS, SIEQ_NOEU, ARC_LENGTH
4 Make sure there are no “nan's” in the data
5 File → Save data

6 Open the *.csv file in a spreadsheet
7 Copy columns AD and then F,G and H (Arc length and principle stresses, check I seem to remember that there is an error in the column numbers)
8 Do a linear regression analysis on this data.
9 Calculate von Mises for use in ASME 8/2

Above works when the shear stresses are low. If you have significant shear stresses you will have to linearise all 6 component stresses to calculate the linearised principle stresses.

There may be simpler ways to do it but this works for me.
